boomerangs

Boomerangs had many purposes from hunting to ceremonial uses and musical instruments. Used widely throughout Australia they became synonymous with the Aboriginal people. The returning boomerang, invented by the Australian Aboriginal, is perhaps the one thing you can’t throw away.

Our boomerangs are available with an optional solid pine mantle stand for prices starting as low as $4.00 for the 8" stand. The stands are in clear lacquer but can be stained on request. Or if you prefer, you can purchase, separately, the hardwood stand that carries a brass plaque attesting to authenticity.

Original Art

Aboriginal art is a representation of the world and the beliefs of the Aboriginal people. From the Dreaming comes Traditional Art. The Dreaming refers to all that is known and all that is understood and is called this because insights often come in dreams or recurring visions.

These original paintings on canvas are available framed in solid timber frames made in Australia from Australian plantation pine and stained in walnut.

music sticks(clap sticks)
Music Sticks or Clap Sticks were used during a corroboree or ceremony. Clapping the 2 sticks together rhythmically as an accompaniment to the didgeridoo helped to create the sounds of the Dreamtime.
